On the back of this photograph John James Frowde writes, "The large house 13 New Bond St., which as long as I can remember has been a model of neatness + cleanliness and might have been in place in any part of the upper town. Next to the narrow alley into Almshouse Lane. There are three windows on the two upper floors but taken from the only possible point in Bond Lane, only two shew. The steps (3) up are also out of the picture, but are seen in several of the other prints from the East side of New Bond St. Full front seen in demolition series, but taken in gloomy Dec. weather. No 13 New Bond St. Mrs Kelly's wife of Min. Water Mfctr., Albany Lane."
