Racing, Lord Glanely with Lady Adare. Here seen with Lady Adare at the October Bloodstock Sales at Newmarket, 1935. Lord Glanely is a Director of the Chepstow Race Course Co, and a member of the Jockey Club. His most successful season as an owner was in 1930 when he won 39 races with 24 horses - stakes valued £40,273. In 1933 he won 28 races with 16 horses. Lord Glanely has given some of the highest prices in racing history for yearlings. In 1935 he paid over £30,000 for such horses at public auctions, 8,000 guineas being given for Inglefield which was bred by Lady James Douglas. Illustration for Photocard issued by Ardath Tobacco in c.1936.
