The ruins of a granary building on the grounds of Altzella Monastery outside of Dresden, Germany. Altzella Monastery Park, a former Cistercian abbey, was an important monastery central German during the Middle Ages. Founded by the Margrave of Meissen, Otto von Wettin, known as Otto the Rich. The monastery was closed during the Reformation. During the 1800's, court gardener Huebler was commissioned by the Elector to layout a Romanticist landscaped park around the ruins of the monastery. The mausoleum that contains the remains of the ancestors of the Wettin dynasty are located in the park.
