The Lamino armchair. It was designed in 1956 by Yngve Ekström. It is a classic armchair, in Swedish style, which is still very popular. The Lamino armchair consists of a wooden frame in layer-glued bentwood in oak and a soft seat cushion. The armchair was voted by the interior design magazine Sköna hems readers as the Swedish furniture of the century ahead of Bruno Mathsson's Pernilla and Carl Malmsten's Lilla Åland. It is also an early example of the 1950s trend that furniture could be packed and sent to customers in flat packages. A man is seen sitting in a chair reading the evening newspaper Expressen while a woman is standing and reading it over his shoulder. The picture from 1960.
