The White House on May 14, 2002 said the Republican Party was selling copies of photographs of U.S. President George W. Bush on Sept. 11 to raise campaign funds, drawing Democratic charges it was exploiting a tragedy. The photograph was part of a three-photo package, including this file photo of Bush's inauguration, depicting "the defining moments" of Bush's first year in exchange for a minimum donation of $150 to a dinner next month headlined by Bush and sponsored by the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
