Planetary nebula M57 (NGC 6720) in Lyra - The Ring nebula (M57) in Lyra - The planetary nebula of Lyra (M57) is located about 2000 years - light from Earth. With a magnitude of 9.0, this nebula is easily observed with a small telescope. A planetary nebula is a gas shell from a small late-life star whose heart collapsed to become a white dwarf and expelled the outer layers of its matter. Here, the British Premier Neville Chamberlain met Hitler, in an effort to negociate the” Czech Problem”, in 1938. The terrace is covered with an adjustable glass-roof. It covers exactly 1.850 square meters, and is even higher than the many chestnut-trees which grow under it, in the Hotel-Garden. This glass-roof had been built before World War II at a rate of 280.000.00 Marks. During the war, it was hit by bomb and shells, and seriously damaged. Repair works after the war amounted to 30.000,00 Deutschmarks. The Hotel Dreesen was an Allied Recreational Center, until 1952. In 1953, it was returned to the Germans

The event has been orgainsed jointly by the ministry of supply, to who are calcification the vehicles are built and by the society of motor manufacturers and traders, certain of whose members are responsible for the carrying out of the production programme

Nebula M43 in Orion - M43 nebula in Orion - Nebula M43 (NGC 1982) is part of the great Nebula of Orion (M42), a vast region of star formation. Barree spiral galaxy NGC 1300 in Eridan - Barred spiral galaxy NGC 1300 in Eridanus - The galaxy NGC1300 is located about 60 million years ago - light and extends over about 85 000 years - light. This image was obtained by the Hubble Space Telescope in September 2004. NGC 1300 is considered to be prototypical of barred spiral galaxies.
