Actosr Christian Slater (L) and Morgan Freeman, stars of the new crime thriller film "Hard Rain," pose at the film's premiere January 13 at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. The film, which opens January 16 in the United States, is about an armored car heist set against the backdrop of a flood hitting a small Midwestern town and also stars Randy Quaid and Minnie Driver. Christian Slater was due to start a 90-day jail term on January 14 for beating his girlfriend and fighting police, who found him screaming in a hallway during a drug and alcohol bender in the summer of 1997.
