No 24. from Players cigarette cards, second series of 25, 'Polar Exploration'. The front shows a tent from which is flown the Norwegian flag and a pennant marked: 'FRAM'. To the left, four men of the polar party stand bare-headed. The caption reads: 'Player's Cigarettes AMUNDSEN AT THE SOUTH POLE.' Reverse: 'Amundsen at the South Pole. The gallant Norseman, Roald Amundsen, reached the South Pole on December 16th, 1911, with his companions, Hanssen, Wisting, Hassel and Bjaaland.
