Tue 18, 1954 - 24 year old American pilot Fred D. Elkins hitchhiked over 14,000 km around half the world in order to get married to the one he loves. When he was an airlift pilot Fred met secretary Helga on the airfield in Berlin-Tempelhof. They fell in love and decided to get married... but Fred was re-stationed to Austria. His at-time 19 year old Helga followed him to Vienna in 1951. Then right before everything was ready to go again, he was commandeered to the Philippines. He saved all of his vacation days until the beginning of this month, when he hitchhiked on planes en route to Berlin because he didn't have the money for a regular flight. His buddies from the air force helped him though, and so he flew for eight days in different military vehicles over India, Egypt, Italy, and Europe - before finally landing in Berlin. The two-year old chimp, Midge, wearing a white satin frock with frilly underwear - handed a lucky horseshoe to the bride, Miss Hazel Sixsmith, outside the church door. Then Midge kissed the bride and tried to kiss the bridegroom, Mr. David Harrison. After the ceremony at the Saviour's Church, Bolton (Lancs), the vicar, the Rev. The two-year old chimp, Midge, wearing a white satin frock with frilly underwear - handed a lucky horseshoe to the bride, Miss Hazel Sixsmith, outside the church door. Then Midge kissed the bride and tried to kiss the bridegroom, Mr. David Harrison. After the ceremony at the Saviour's Church, Bolton (Lancs), the vicar, the Rev. This includes the globular star cluster Djorgovski 1, which was only discovered in 1987 Djorgovski 1 is located close to the centre of our Milky Way Galaxy, within the bulge. If the galaxy is thought of as being like a city, then this bulge is the very busiest district at its centre. Djorgovski 1's proximity to this hub - - within just a few degrees - - explains why the picture is teeming with stars.

Supernova Remnants SNR B0509 - 67.5 - Supernova Remnant SNR B0509 - 67.5 - SNR B0509 - 67.5 (or SNR 0509) is the rest of a star explosion in the galaxy of the Great Magellan Cloud. This 23-year bubble - light of diameter extends at a speed of 18 million km/h. A composite of visible images and X-rays obtained by the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) in 2006 and 2010 and by the Chandra satellite.
