Schiavo, 39, of St. Petersburg, has been kept alive by a feeding tube since a 1990 heart attack left her with massive brain damage, unable to feed herself or communicate. She is expected to die within 14 days without food or liquids, sparking sharp criticism of the method employed to end her life.
