Portuguese airplane Airbus A-340 from Portuguese air transport company TAP with plate number CS-TOA takes off at 16.42 GMT with 122 passengers on board from Lisbon airport en route to J.F.K airport in New York September 13, 2001. The Airbus, on one of the first transatlantic flights from Europe since the United States reopened its airspace to traffic, turned back to Lisbon on Thursday, the airline TAP-Air Portugal said. The airline told Reuters TAP flight 1315 was returning after the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration had ordered all planes without U.S. registration to return to their points of origin.
