Aboriginal artist Micky Dorrng Garrawurra, from Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory, paints a wall of the Museum of Contemporary Art February 27 with a design titled 'Djirrdidi', meaning kingfisher body design, that is part of an upcoming exhibition titled 'Yolngu Science: Objects and Representations from the Raminging Region'. The design is normally painted on the bodies of participants and sacred objects in religious rituals related to an Aboriginal story about the Djan'kawu Sisters. The exhibition will include more than 150 objects and paintings from the Arnhem Land community of Ramingining, which shows in an artistic form their relation to the natural world.
