Switzerland World War II Limit Boncourt, 1940 (b/w photo)

On 22 June 1940, soldiers of the Swiss Army inspected the bombed border station of Boncourt in the Jura during the Second World War. During the night from 14 to 15 June 1940, French-German troops of geniuses fought over Alsace, except for the bridges over the Doubs, destroyed all the engineering structures on the Swiss-French border between Delle and Basel, because they were circulating that the Germans wanted to cross Switzerland. Between 16 and 20 June 1940, around 2000 French soldiers and between 4000 and 5000 civilian refugees entered Switzerland at the Boncourt border crossing.
