Open cluster CR 399 in Little Fox - The Coathanger (CR 399) in Vulpecula - The Hanger cluster or Brocchi cluster is not a true cluster of stars but an asterism in the constellation Little Fox. Image obtained by the Oschin telescope of 1.2m of Mount Palomar through several filters and composed. Cr 399, Brocchi's Cluster, is also known as the “” Coathanger””. It is a distinctive asterism, but not a true star cluster. It is visible to the unaided eye off the head of Cygnus, the Swan in Vulpecula, and resolved into its namesake shape in a telescope or pair of binoculars. Cassiopee Constellation - The constellation of Cassiopeia - Cassiopeia, was seen in mythology as the seated Queen of Ethiopia (not to be confused with the modern AEthiopia). She was the wife of Cepheus and the mother of Andromeda, beautiful but boastful. The grouping of moderately bright stars has a distinctive 'W' shape and lies in a rather faint part of the northern Milky Way. It is circumpolar for latitudes north of 50*. Occupying almost 500 square degrees of sky it is the 25th largest of the 88 modern constellations

He is believed to have named the star 46 Leonis Minoris 'Praecipua' because it was the principal star in his new and not very distictive constellation, which at 232 square degrees is 64th largest. Leo Minor is due north of the distinctive sickle shape in Leo, and south of the hind leg of Ursa Major, 'The Great Bear'

It belongs to the Virgin's galaxy cluster. Several dwarf elliptic galaxies are visible in this image, one just above M100 probably interacting. This image was obtained by Siding Spring's 3.9m telescope. In this deep image fainter galaxies appear. One seems to be involved with the faint outskirts of the large spiral. The somewhat distorted shape of the dwarf galaxy suggests it could be both influencing and being influenced by M100, and may be the cause of the asymmetry in the spiral arms. The” Gold-Helmet” - probably an object of worship - is embossed of pure gold containing 24 carats and has a weight of about 500 grams

Constellations of Andromede and Cassiopee - Andromeda and Cassiopeia constellations - Field around the constellations of Andromede and Cassiopee. From ancient times the constellation of Andromeda has represented a woman and in Greek mythology Andromeda was the daughter of Cepheus and Cassiopeia, king and boastful queen of the Phoenician kingdom of Ethiopia. As punishment for her mother's arrogance she was chained to a rock as a sacrifece to Cetus, then rescued by Perseus whom she subsequently married. The modern constellation is the 19th largest in the sky and covers about 720 square degrees but is not very obvious. The three brightest stars of Andromeda form a broad arc south of the distinctive 'W' of Cassiopeia, and under a dark sky the elongated shape of M32 is just visible to the unaided eye. From ancient times the constellation of Andromeda has represented a woman and in Greek mythology Andromeda was the daughter of Cepheus and Cassiopeia, king and boastful queen of the Phoenician kingdom of Ethiopia. As punishment for her mother's arrogance she was chained to a rock as a sacrifece to Cetus, then rescued by Perseus whom she subsequently married. The modern constellation is the 19th largest in the sky and covers about 720 square degrees but is not very obvious. The three brightest stars of Andromeda form a broad arc south of the distinctive 'W' of Cassiopeia, and under a dark sky the elongated shape of M32 is just visible to the unaided eye. Liner Arcadia has been designed with a unique funnel to eliminate the danger of smuts falling on the long sports deck areas. Galaxy clusters Abell 370 - Abell 370 cluster of galaxies with gravitational arcs - This cluster contains a large number of galaxies, most of which are elliptical. A gravitational arc is visible at the bottom of the image. This is the deformed image of a galaxy farther away behind the cluster. This cluster hosts one of the most prominent gravitational arcs known to date. The light of a very remote object is deformed by the foreground cluster. Abell 370, at the center of the photo, contains a large number of galaxies - most of them are ellipticals. The two brightest red galaxies slightly above the gravitational arc are the most massive in the cluster and give an important contribution to the lensing event. This gravitational arc - in combination with the cluster of galaxies - provides a natural laboratory to study the physics of gravity. The exact shape of the arc allows to estimate the mass of the cluster through the equations of general relativity
