Marriage in islam is a sacred nature "And among his signs is this, that he created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility with them, and he has put love and mercy between your (heart) : verily in that are signs for those who reflect" (Surah Al Rum : 21)\nThe persian marriage certificates are outstanding work of art, produced to honour the sacred bond and transmit the beauty of long-lived Persian aesthetics. In scrolls, booklets and single folios, these documents with their lavish decoration in lapis lazuli and gold become a witness to the social history of that period.
