Image description

'Behold the Man'; The donors of the altarpiece, Peter van Os and Hendrixke van Langel, kneel in devotion with their patron saints. The couple may have commissioned the altarpiece in memory of Hendrixke's father, Franco van Langel, who appears prominently on the exterior of the left wing. Hendrixke's mother, Heilwich van der Rullen, appears on the exterior of the right wing.
