Dalstroy activities, including forced labour, in the Kolyma region of the Russian Far East, Part 1, 1932-33. Dalstroy, also known as Far North Construction Trust, was an organization set up in 1931 by the Soviet NKVD in order to manage certain construction and mining activities in Kolyma, making use of forced labour from numerous Gulag camps it created in the region in order to do so.
