Workers place lights on the giant portrait of the legendary leftist guerrilla Ernesto "Che" Guevara which hangs over the Ministry of the Interior overlooking Revolutionary Square October 8 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of his death. Guevara, who left Cuba in 1965 to try to export revolution abroad was captured and killed by Bolivian troops October 8, 1967 while leading an abortive guerrilla uprising there. Guevara's remains were unearthed from a secret mass grave in Bolivia in July and returned to Cuba and will be on public display in Revolutionary Square October 10.
