The fresco represents a maritime scene framed by two pilasters and a marble pedestal, which creates a trompe-l'oeil effect; Antony and Cleopatra are on an orange-coloured sailing boat with golden finishing and a big, mermaid-shaped trim; Antony, who wears his armour and a helmet, holds a fishing pole in his right hand while looking into his lover's eyes, who indicates him something with her right hand, reaching the arm; the two main characters are currounded by women and men, among whom a fisherman; sitting on the balaustrade, another fisherman with two fishes in his hands.
