Vera Strodl, 1918-2015. British-Danish female aviator and pilot. During the World war II she worked for Air transport auxillary flying bomb and attack aircrafts from manufacturers to the airfield where they were used further. She flew damaged aircrafts on the way back to be repaired. She later became a flight instructor, moved to Canada in 1952 and started her own flight school. Pictured doing the classic sign Thumbs up before taking off. Sweden January 1946.
