Twiggy arriving at a sculptor's studio, 1966. A photograph of Twiggy, real name Lesley Hornby (1949-), outside Studio X in Chelsea, London, taken by Steel for the Daily Herald newspaper on 2 November, 1966. Recently discovered and signed to Top Models Agency, Twiggy was going to the studio to have a cast of her figure made by sculptor John Taylor. This cast would then be turned into a mould for mannequins - to feature in shops all over the country. Twiggy was discovered in a hairdresser's in 1966, when she was sixteen.
