Blindekuh -Spiel. Nicht bloss das Kinderspielzeug, sondern auch manche Spiele im Freien gehen auf alte Brauche zuruck. Wettspiele aller Art waren an bestimmte Feste im Jahreslauf gebunden. Die Blinde Kuh z.B. (auch blinde Mom = Maske) war einst ein Spiel in Tiermasken (Kuh oder Bock) zum Fest der Wintersonnenwende. In dem Anruf Blinde Kuh, ich fuhre dich! klingt noch etwas davon an. Translation: Blind Man's Buff Game. Not only the children's toys, but also some outdoor games go back to old customs. Competitions of all kinds were tied to certain festivals throughout the year. The blind man's buff e.g. (also blind mom = mask) was once a game in animal masks (cow or buck) for the festival of the winter solstice.
