'The Swilcar Lann Oak.' Showing a study of a large tree in a forest. There are men at the foot of the tree bending over a branch which they appear to have sawn off. The oak is in the King's Woods, Needwood Forest. It is mentioned in Sor Munday's poems as 'Lear of the Forest Robb'd All.' The tree was 29 feet in girth.
