Situated on the S.E. corner of Coates and Sixteenth Sts. Philadelphia. Exterior view showing a throng of men, women, and child parishioners arriving at the wood-plank temporary church building on the 1500 block of Coates, i.e., Fairmount Avenue. A tall picket fence with gate surrounds the church. The well-dressed church members file past the fence and through the open gate. Two stove pipes project out from the side of the building and a few trees provide landscape. The building served as the church for a year during the erection of the permanent building completed in the fall of 1854.
