Wholesale and retail dealers and manufacturers of hats, caps & furs. Advertisement with ornamental lettering depicting a display of 12 numbered men's and women's hats. The women's hats (1-4, 7, 10) are adorned with feathers, ribbons, and other embellishments, except for the "sundown." Hats are displayed on a hat rack and three stands at its base. Oakford established his business in 1827 and located to 104 Chestnut in 1843 where he began his wholesale trade in 1850.
