Mary I (1516-58) Queen of England (1553-58); Lady Jane Grey (1537-54) known as the 'Nine days Queen'; signatories include Henry Neville (c.1530-87) 6th Baron Abergavenny and Chief Larderer at Queen Mary's coronation banquet and Sir Robert Southwell (c.1520-59) High Sheriff of Kent who both remained loyal to Queen Mary in 1554 during the rebellion in which another signatory was a conspirator, Thomas Wyatt (1521-54); Sir Nicholas Pelham (d.1560),active in defence of Sussex coast at Brighton and Newhaven against French naval attacks in 1545, Sussex landowner, Sheriff of Sussex and Surrey in 1549 and M.P. for Sussex in 1558; facsimile from 'Facsimiles of Royal, Historical & Literary Autographs in the Department of Manuscripts', British Museum, 4th series, printed for the Trustees, 1898; Add.MS.33230,f.21.;
