The blackcurrant-red field densely filled with a delicate arabesque lattice overlaying fine flowering vine around a central concentric cusped bottle-green medallion containing palmettes and flowering vine enclosing a smaller similar blackcurrant medallion centred by a sandy yellow flowerhead, an ivory cartouche and ice-blue anchor palmette at either end, cusped sandy yellow spandrels containing ice-blue palmettes and floral sprays, in a dusty red entwined strapwork arabesque border with palmettes and paired facing birds between ivory floral meander and apricot split palmette and flowerhead minor stripes, extensive areas of wear especially in the field, small scattered repairs, selvages replaced, minor loss at both ends, secured
