The calf "Uschi", is taken from a trailer together with farmer Peter Rieblinger, to be shown to the media in Oberschleisheim as the first cloned animal in Germany January 8. The female calf was born on December 23 and is being reared on Peter Rieblinger's farm in Dachau near Munich. The calf was cloned by the scientists Dr. Eckehard Wolf (Leader) and Dr. Valeri Zakhartchenko of the Ludwigs Maximilians Univeristy Munich with the same technique as the well known sheep "Dolly".
