Dress in the fashion of the Nile (Egypt), respectfully dedicated to the victims of today's fashion. Caricature featuring two characters dressed in grotesque outfits, the woman is wearing a white dress arranged like a mummy, decorated with crocodiles, facing her, a man is wearing an even more extravagant suit, a crocodile skin coat, as well as his vest and boots, his hat is decorated with a yellow crocodile, and each one is wearing his Hats off the inscription 'Nelson and Victory', in reference to the victory of Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) at the Battle of the Nile (or of Aboukir, Egypt, 1798). Clothing was a widespread way to display patriotic feelings and political views, which is ridiculed here by the overabundance and absurdity of Egyptian references.
