Copper astrolabe representing the positions of known planets and their annual movements around the Sun, represented on the central pillar, with Mercury, Venus, Earth, and the Moon on moving rings, and on the central mount, other moving rings for Jupiter (and four satellites) and the place for Mars and Saturn, whose spheres have currently gone. The central plate is engraved with a table showing the apparent movements of the Sun from Earth and giving descriptive information (diameter, distance, periods of rotation), the base of the planisphere, four decorated legs, is engraved with the signature of the craftsman, Richard Glynne, astrolabe made around 1730, in London (England).
