Image description

Salvage workers lift the broken mast of Hong Kong-registered yacht "Exile" from the bottom of Sydney Harbour December 12. The yacht's mast snapped while "Exile" was in a training race on the harbour December 11. "Exile" is owned by Australian businessman Warwick Miller, who was formerly based in Hong Kong, and was to have led a strong three-boat Chinese team in the Southern Cross Cup Series and Sydney-to-Hobart race in December. Its participation is now in doubt, with a new mast to be flown in from the United States.
