37-year-old Brazilian missionary Rita Aparecida dos Passos poses in front of her apartment in Brasilia May 30, 2003. Rita became somewhat of a media star in Brazil this week, after having spoken out during a ceremony in front of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, after showing up without an invitation and working her way inside the event. During her brief speech on May 28, the evangelist defended reputed drug lord Fernando Beira-Mar, whom she claims to be 'converting to the word of God'.
