U.S. President George W. Bush (1), along with Secret Service agents (without numbers), runs in The President's Fitness Challenge, a three-mile run at Fort McNair in Washington, June 22, 2002. Bush finished the three-mile run at 20 minutes and 28 seconds. Bush unveiled his HealthierUS initiative on June 20 which calls for at least a half-hour of exercise every day for adults and more for children, eating smaller portions of more nutritious foods, regular preventative health screenings and avoidance of any risky behaviors, especially involving alcohol, tobacco and illegal drugs.
