A group of participants gathers in front of a kiosk display. On August 23, 1963, the international Pax Christian pilgrimage will take place in Sachseln with over 600 young Catholics. The participants will go to Brother Klaus Chapel on the Ranft ob Sachseln, Canton Obwalden, the former place of activity of Brother Klaus, in a star shape on twelve routes. There the pilgrims are solemnly welcomed by Bishop Francois Charriere as delegate of the Pope. Niklaus von Fluee, who had already been called a living saint by his contemporaries of the 15th century, what canonized in Rome by Pope Pius XII on 15 May 1947.
