Germany is marking the night 60 years ago when the Nazis unleashed the first systematic attacks on Jews which culminate in the Holocaust. In the night of November 9-10, 1938, Nazi stormtroopers ransacked Jewish-owned shops and set synagogues throughout Germany and Austria ablaze, hours of violence and destruction which most historians agree directly sanctioned by Hitler.
