This log cabin design used Turkey Red as the centre squares, and the blocks are arranged to create diagonal stripes of dark and light fabric, known as ‘straight furrow’. There are a range of different printed patterns, and it has been both hand and machine sewn, with some hand quilting. From the Angela Brocklebank Bequest.
