MOURNERS WALK BESIDE COFFIN OF HEALTH WORKER WHO DIED OF SARS IN HONG KONG, 2003-06-09 (photo)

Mourners walk beside the coffin of 47-year-old Lau Kam-yung, a hospital health assistant who died of SARS, during a funeral in Hong Kong June 9, 2003. Lau will be buried next to her colleague, Tang Heung-may, and doctor Tse Yuen-man who died earlier of the virus. Lau, like Tang and Tse, was given the highest honours by being buried at Gallant Garden, a cemetary reserved for residents who perished in the line of duty.
