General Neguib, President of Egypt, has been deposed from office by the Revolutionary Command Council and? relieved of all his State duties?. He is not being replaced for the present, but Lieut. Col. Nasser, Prime Minister, will fulfill all the functions of Head of State. The General was taken to Villa Marg, outside Cairo, where he is under house arrest. He is alleged to have had a hand in the abortive Moslem Brotherhood plot to over throw Nasser? s government
