It has been tested for a variety of uses at the Philadelphia General Hospital for the past 18 months. PVP, a synthetic, colloidal derivative of Acetylene, is an amorphous powder. It is manufactured by General Aniline & Film Corporation, in a plant formally opened about two years ago at Grasselli, N.J. Further research goes on at company laboratories in Easton, PA. where the substance was first synthesized.
