Creator: William Tassie Abolitionist glass seal (clear), moulded with 'Am I not a woman and a sister' . The figure is derived from Wedgwood’s famous plaque, which became one of the most ubiquitous images of the abolition campaign. William Tassie (1777–1860) was a renowned glass and gem engraver and portraitist, living and working in Leicester Square, London. Part of the Michael Graham-Stewart slavery collection.
