Lofoten, winter 1951. Several fishing villages in Lofoten are vacated because they are impossible to operate without electricity, road, quay and telephone connection. In some places, the municipalities have applied for moving money from the state to move the houses and the entire population. Here from the fishing village Helle, where some of the sea arches are still left. The mast in the middle of the picture belongs to the site's telephone system.
