In connection with the espionage trial against two former employees of Motoren, Turbinen- und Pumpen AG (M.T.P.), the founder and chairman of the board of directors of the company Hassan Sayed Kamil is also criticized. On 10 July 1964, the Egyptian engineer Kamil, accompanied by his attorneys, therefore took a stand at a sensational and tumultuous press conference in Zurich against accusations that he had been procured was material and foreign specialists for the United Arab Republic.
