Signed Ink and watercolour 12 x 8 ½ inches (30.5 x 21.5 cm) Exhibited 'Chris Beetles Summer Show 2023', Chris Beetles Gallery, London, June-September 2023 Additional Notes "Probably intended to  note Wesley or similar evangelist preacher who preached outdoors on Coldbath fields and elsewhere. There is a related print: Paul Preaching to the Britons.  (1809) This is one of  a series of at least 15 brush aquatints after Rowlandson drawings by another hand but with false Rowlandson signatures in the plate,  published by Reeve & Jones, between 1808 & 1809 The Title is probably an  allusion  to/dig at a pious print by John  Hamilton Mortimer  For image of the Mortimer print  e,g, see https://harvardartmuseumsorg/collections/object/243943
