XII session of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, Moscow, 1945. Arrival of delegates at the Grand Kremlin Palace, including Red Army marshals and Trofim Lysenko among other scientists. In Congress Hall, a standing ovation greets the arrival of Joseph Stalin, Vyacheslav Molotov, Kliment Voroshilov, and Lysenko. The American Ambassador William Averell Harriman and the British Ambassador Sir Archibald Clark Kerr can be seen applauding from a balcony. Leaders at the presidium sit, and General Aleksei Antonov walks towards the rostrum and makes a speech.
