Dec. 12, 1953 - Unique funnel fitted to new P. and O. liner. The” Arcadia” takes shape.: The new P. and O. Liner Arcadia has been designed with a unique funnel to eliminate the danger of smuts falling on the long sports deck areas. The first two tiers of this are now casing were empty, three london double decker buses could be driven through it, side by side.
