Nov. 24, 1953 - Dog Goes by Air to the Lebanon, Flies to his R.A.F. Master.? Rolfe? a Bull Terrier, was to be seen in London this morning prior to leaving London Airport for the Lebanon. The flight has been arranged by the R.S.P.C.A. and the dog is going out to his master Flight Sgt. F. Hitchcockserving with the RAF at Base Aerienne, Rayak, Lebanon. Rolfe is 2 year old and was being cared for by Mrs. Hitchcockof Hythe, who asked the RSPCA to find a home for him otherwise o have him destroyed. The RSPCA wrote to the F/Sgt, who offered to pay the dog? s fare and the Society made the necessary arrangements for the flight. Keystone Photo shows: RSPCA Inspector F. Horwill seen with? Rolfe? in London this morning before the flight to Lebanon.
