Tue 03, 1953 - A Japanese Butterfly Makes B.B.C. Recording For Japanese Service: A Madam Butterfly who really is Japanese has arrived in London. She is Michiko Sunahara from Tokio. She has been singing the role of Cho-Cho-San in Madame Butterfly for the past 18 months at the Opera Comique in Paris. Miss Sunsbar, at 28, one of Japan's leading sopranos, sings Madam Butterfly in Japanese and speaks little English. But her English is perfect.
