Apr. 04, 1953 - British Industries Fair: Cavity Wall Building Machine on View: A method of constructing cavity concrete walls without theoost of long runs of shuttering, is being exhibited for the first time at the British Industries Fair, Birmingham. It is the Hyspeoon Multiform, which are simple in operation and are easily handled by unskilled labour. The built-in levels ensure perfect alignment of the wall. The machine is in essence a movable mould, and consists of a light alloy box with ribbed sides and open top and bottom and one end open, and material is placed into the machine, which can be moved along without waiting for the material to set. Official tests on a complete house show a speed equivalent to a bricklayer and plow laying 1,280 bricks a day, and with the forms you are working from the raw material to the finish wall in one operation
