The Rebellion of the Satellites (Colour Litho)

The satellite rebellion. The echo of the riots in Poznan has not yet died out that in three large cities in Poland, Wrocław, Szczecin and Krakow, there were very violent anti-Soviet demonstrations. In Wroclaw, many demonstrators headed to the headquarters of the Poland-USSR Friendship Association. Some of them tore up the Soviet flag and threw it into the street, amid the jubilation of the crowd. Even more serious is the news from Budapest where Soviet aircraft and armored vehicles were deployed against the rising population. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 4 November 1956.
