A great company (colour litho)

A great enterprise. Walter Bonatti, known for very daring climbs in the Alps and for the part he had last year in conquering K2, won the south-west corner of the Piccolo Dru, in the White group. Alone, the climber fought against terrible difficulties that were close to the limit of human possibilities. It reached the peak after six days and five nights spent on the wall, suspended in the void. In the drawing, the young climber from Monza is portrayed while, by artificial means, he is passing a roof, that is, a protruding stretch of the rock.
